Objects for Ascension was commissioned by Eggplant Space as Issue 007 of its periodical zine, Tissue Issue. It combines AI-generated imagery and found 3D models to examine the multi-layered nostalgia that occurs as a result of access to an endless archive of past cultural production.

Objects for Ascension investigates the simultaneously liberatory and reductive potential of the bootleg, which can allow for gross and disfigured excess through mass production or carry on a legacy of transcendent design. With the oncoming wave of artificial intelligence technologies and the ability to now generate never-ending variations of preexisting imagery, it seems that time is an increasingly flat circle.
